Sidney Turner has a earned a Jurist Doctor (JD) degree from Fordham University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from Adelphi University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from New York University.

For many years Sidney Turner was a bankruptcy trustee representing the interest of creditors. As an operating chapter 11 trustee appointed by the U.S. Trustees office he operated and sold several businesses of a diverse nature, such as an equestrian farm to commercial real estate limited partnerships.

Sidney Turner participated in a mediation program sponsored by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He has received a Certificate of Mediation Training and was appointed as a mediator by the Southern District of New York. He has been appointed a mediator in many commercial and contract cases by the U.S. District Court. He has served as Chairman of the Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights committee of the Westchester County Bar Association for eleven years where he instructed intensive courses in Bankruptcy and Creditor and Debtor rights for other attorneys, paralegals, law students, and business persons. Recognizing the value of continuous professional education, Sidney Turner has served as an adjunct lecturer at New York University's School of Continuing Education.

Prior experiences and education have allowed Sidney Turner to get involved in assisting startup and established businesses involving the core issues in their legal relationships. His broad range of services have included: drafting commercial contracts, disputes, leases, and business entity formation and organization, acquisitions, joint ventures, asset purchase, franchise sale and filings, outsourcing transactions, settlement agreements, licensing, contractor and employment agreements, services agreements, manufacturing, real estate and more, helping them to preserve and enhance asset value and alleviate difficulties which require not only legal guidance but a certain degree of business acumen.
